ABOUT US
Handz for Hire was founded for one sole purpose... to help people! The app assists those who need a hand with any task around the house and provides flexible income for those ready to lend a hand. Since our launch in fall 2018, we've had hundreds of people use Handz to connect with neighbors for assistance with tasks, errands, and odd jobs.
As we began to grow in early 2019, it made sense for the founder and CEO, Jay Herrigel, to start creating content to aid our lend a hand users and teach them skills that they could use on the job. The YouTube channel began to take off on its own and Jay Herrigel has created over 60 DIY tutorials for people to use.
Jay hopes to build a streamlined 2nd version of the app with many new features in the near future. In the meantime, he continues to create DIY tutorial content and has started a new company, Science Outside, with his friend and former teaching colleague, Chris Kling. Handz for Hire has partnered with Sponsored by Grace and directly supports impoverished communities empowering local children to rise up out of poverty and become leaders.
